Expectations Hurts!

We all have expectations from one another but in the end, it just leaves us shattered. Expectations can be from some things or people but it rarely gets fulfilled. It can be from our friends, partners, work, family, studies, or results but most of the time it leaves us disappointed.

No one truly cares what are we expecting them to do, because people can’t work according to our expectations. They don’t know what are we expecting from them in our heads.

Keep your expectations high on achievements but low on people because high expectations on targets help us in achieving them but low expectations on people never leave us disappointed.

Just remember that no one will ever work up to our expectations, it is our fault that we expect too much from everyone. Most of the time we keep wrong hopes and aspirations from the wrong person. If you no longer keep expectations then life will become a lot easy, no one breaks our hearts it is us who do that for ourselves.

You would have read or heard many times that we should not keep expectations from someone but it is very difficult to do so, if we like someone or get too close to anyone we tend to expect things from them. It automatically happens then what is the solution?

It happens when you do your best in any thing you expect the same from them in return, but everyone is not the same. Just imagine the smoothness in our lives without the thing ever called expectations!

Try to converse with that particular person, and clarify things. Tell them that you felt bad or you want them to behave nicely to you. Because expectations are in our heads, the other person never knows what are we hoping for from them and that is why a healthy conversation where we put forward our needs and listen to each other’s side.

Making assumptions, ending up thinking on that topic, or the wrongdoings we are indirectly hurting ourselves. A conversation, a talk from both sides can be a solution for thousands of problems but until and unless you will not talk, you will end up spoiling relationships whether it is our friends, partner, elders, family anyone..
